Cadillac Courier Prototype
Built with full approval of GM Cadillac but not put into production. It used the downsized 1979 Cadillac Seville as a base for construction but based on a 1930’s Mercedes 540K.

With cruise control and air-conditioning, auto-dip headlights, electric boot-lid pull-down, electronic switch to make the hand built stainless steel exhaust to go straight through.
‘Sidetracked, A True Life Motoring Saga’, which included this car, was pub-lished in 2005 and sold as a fund-raiser for ‘eBEN’, the motor trades charity.
Highlights include a 6. 6-litre, fuel-injected V8 engine producing around 300bhp and 400ft/ lbs of torque, three-speed Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission, limited-slip differential, varying-ratio power assisted steer-ing, up-rated spring and damping, stiffer rear anti-roll bar, and increased breaking, power disc brakes, power windows and power seats.
I was asked to get the Bendix fuel injection running better, which I did.
